Hi, I'm Yematawerk Lema. A Digital Marketer, Graphic Designer, YouTube Strategist, and founder of Wef Visuals. My story has been shaped by culture, creativity, and a genuine passion for connecting people through meaningful experiences.
I was born on June 2, 2003, in Bale Robe, Ethiopia. It's a town where community comes first, life moves with intention, and nature has a rhythm all its own. Growing up there taught me something I carry with me everywhere: that authentic human connection is one of the most powerful things in the world. That belief shows up in everything I create and every project I take on.
My academic path started at Robe Catholic Elementery and continue to Robe Galema Preparatory School, where I developed the discipline and curiosity that would follow me forward. From there, I spent a semester at Bahirdar University, living and learning in the heart of Gojjam culture. That time changed me. Being immersed in the region's history, its people, and its traditions gave me a much deeper appreciation for storytelling and what it means to honor the spirit of a place. Since 2023, I've been living in Addis Ababa and pursuing my Marketing degree at St. Mary University, building real professional experience right alongside my studies.
My career has never followed a straight line, and honestly, I think that's what makes it interesting.
It all started at Donkey Tube Afaan Oromoo, where I jumped in as a Social Media Manager, Graphic Designer, and Video Editor all at once. Juggling all of those roles taught me how the different pieces of digital media fit together. Eventually, my hard work was recognized and I was promoted to Digital Manager, stepping into a broader role where I could shape the platform's overall direction and digital presence.
At the same time, I've been part of The Greatness Show, a YouTube channel where I put my skills in Social Media Management, Graphic Design, and YouTube Strategy to work every day. It's a space where I help craft content that genuinely educates, inspires, and grows an audience.
I've also worked with Alive Podcast as a Social Media Manager, helping the team nurture and grow a community of engaged listeners online. Every platform has its own energy, and I love figuring out how to meet an audience exactly where they are.
One moment that really stands out in my journey so far is being chosen to handle Videography and Photography coverage for the Big 5 Construct Ethiopia and East Africa Infrastructure and Water Expo 2025, representing Baz Steel Ind. Co., a Saudi Arabian industrial company. The event was massive, bringing together over 180 exhibitors from more than 20 countries at Millennium Hall in Addis Ababa. It combined the country's largest construction event with the very first East Africa Infrastructure and Water Expo. Being trusted to capture something of that scale was a milestone I won't forget.
Today, my work lives at the crossroads of digital strategy, creative design, and visual storytelling. Whether I'm running a brand's social media, cutting a video, building out a graphic concept, or showing up with a camera at a major international event, I give it everything. Cultural awareness, creative energy, and strategic thinking are what I bring to the table every single time.
Every role has added a new layer to how I think, create, and tell stories. Today I work at the crossroads of digital strategy, creative design, and visual storytelling. I bring cultural depth, creative energy, and real strategic thinking to everything I touch. If you have a story worth telling, I'd love to be the one to help you tell it.
